Satya Narayan Sinha was a senior Indian politician, freedom fighter, and administrator who played an important role in Bihar’s political life after independence. He was born on 2 July 1905 in Bihar. From an early age, he was influenced by nationalist ideas and actively participated in India’s freedom struggle against British rule.

Satya Narayan Sinha was associated with the Indian National Congress and took part in movements such as the Quit India Movement of 1942, for which he faced imprisonment. His commitment to the ideals of freedom, democracy, and public service earned him respect among national leaders and the masses.

After independence, Satya Narayan Sinha held several key positions in public life. He served as the Chief Minister of Bihar (1963–1967) and later became the first Governor of Bihar in 1970. As an administrator, he was known for his balanced approach, integrity, and concern for social welfare. He worked for administrative reforms, law and order, and development in the state.

Satya Narayan Sinha also served as a Union Minister and contributed to strengthening democratic institutions in the country. His political career reflected discipline, experience, and dedication to constitutional values.

He passed away on 4 December 1983. Satya Narayan Sinha is remembered as a respected freedom fighter and statesman who devoted his life to public service and played a significant role in Bihar’s political and administrative history.
